I come here once a month. I love all the girls here and honestly they all do a great job on my nails. I have been coming to Ken's for years and have not wanted to write a review because it's such a great secret! Here are just a few photos of my favorite dip powder manicures from here. I love how they are so meticulous in buffing the nails and they don't rush.
Annie really does a quality job on my gel nails. She also works quickly. Try booking her in advance because she's very popular.
I called earlier today to schedule for me and my mom. I was able to book an appointment this afternoon for two pedicures and a gel manicure (for me). I was recently in a car accident and had back surgery so I currently wear a back brace and use a cane. I was kinda worried about being comfortable in the pedicure chair but was put at ease when I arrived.
We were greeted and directed to sit in the pedicure chairs. The receptionist helped me adjust the chair angle (I can't lean back) and put a pillow behind my back after my mom requested. I felt really comfortable! They brought us a basket of the nail polish samples and I chose 5 colors for a pastel rainbow. I was so impressed they were able to perfectly match the regular polish to the gel nail polish colors! Julie did my pedicure and Jenny did my manicure. They were very considerate of my injury and allowed me to sit in the pedicure chair for my manicure. I'm very pleased with the overall experience and how my nails look. My mom loved her pedicure too.
COVID-19 precautions/cleanliness: There are acrylic panels placed in front of each pedicure and manicure station (between you and the nail artist). Hand sanitizer is available at the front counter but I felt they should force people to use it upon entry. The woman sitting in the chair next to my mom (not 6 feet away) was not wearing a mask despite sign on front door requiring mask for entry. Other than her, everyone else was wearing a mask. One customer requested her chair to be sanitized...it didn't seem like this was a routine practice, but probably should be. My arm rest table looked like it hadn't been cleaned for awhile so I made sure not to touch it.
Payment: They only accept Venmo, Zelle and cash so be prepared. We opted to pay with Venmo and tip with cash.
Now that restrictions have lifted I have been able to get a pedicure. I have actually gotten two. Yeah!!!
Their prices have increased. A regular pedicure is now $30.
They have Added plastic screens at all the stations. Quandary sanitizer is available when you enter the shop. Tell me is in a high level of cleanliness.
Generally it takes about an hour for a regular pedicure. In addition to trimming my nails and exfoliating my feet they do the massage of my calf and feet using a hot rock.
I have started scheduling my appointments in advance.
Relaxing atmosphere and a job well done.
I wouldn't go anyone else, love the great care and job they give .
The staff paid great attention to detail, I would recommend this shop to anyone
I was short on time and needed a pedi, mani, and upper lip wax. I thought I only had time for a pedi, but the employees got to work fast and did my mani and upper wax while I was in the chair for the pedi.... AND they did a thorough job. I am super picky and was pleased with the service and cost. I just found this place through my Map App. Thank you for great service! February 24 about 3pm
